Hi and welcome to Aotea Farm at Shelly Beach!

Aotea farm is a commercial beef operation, running approximately 1200 predominantly bulls and steers on 550ha (500ha eff). Cattle are brought onto the property at around 5 months of age and are sold for slaughter at around 2 1/2 years of age. The farm has seen significant development over the past 9 years, with extensive fencing and soon to be planting to minimize the impact of our operations on the environment.

We should like to welcome you to come and have a look, explore the machinery and facilities we use on a daily basis and have a walk or a tractor ride with us to see some of the natural beauty of this special place.
