Lorne Peak Station
Event Description

Meet some of the 2000 cattle and 20000 sheep that call Lorne Peak home and gain an understanding of what motivates us as third generation farmers to look after and improve this farm. Learn about the history of the farm and how our practices have changed over the years.

Share some of our special places - we'll have a picnic at a wetland, meet the critters, explore the area and discuss how we could further improve it. We'll have a drive to the up the hill for a view over the farm and upper Mataura valley - kids can bring their bikes for a gentle downhill mountain bike on the way back.

We will have just finished hosting the Southland dog trials, so will hopefully have a quick stock handling and dog demonstration and perhaps meet a few locals.
