Kelmarna Community Farm is nestled in the heart of Auckland's Ponsonby area on 4.5 acres of land leased from the Auckland Council. The farm is a 40 + year old organic farm on a mission to transform our food system. The initial endeavour was to showcase self-sufficiency through organic growing practices. Now the farm sets to champion and demonstrate a regenerative local food model that supports climate change mitigation, urban resilience and community wellbeing.
As a part of Open Farms, we are hosting a Festival, which is a fundraising event for the farm with musicians, pop up restaurant stalls, Talk tent, kids zone, workshops, shop and more. The farm is open for attendees to wander about and enjoy.
We want to ensure everyone feels welcome! While our festival does offer wheelchair access, please note that the majority of our paths are made of grass and bark. We encourage attendees to plan accordingly for their comfort and accessibility needs
